Privacy Policy

In short

This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking of any kind. No analytics, no advertising, no affiliate links, no third-party scripts at all. We do not sell your data and there is no account to create. If any of that changes, this page will be updated before it does.

Who we are

Male Health Guide ("we", "us") publishes health information at malehealthguide.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to contact@malehealthguide.com.

What we collect directly

Very little. We have no accounts, no logins and no member area. The only information you give us directly is what you choose to send by email.

  • Email correspondence. If you write to us, we see your address and your message. We use it to reply and for nothing else. We do not add you to any mailing list without you asking.
  • Nothing else is requested. We do not ask for your name, age, location or health details, and we ask you not to send medical records or test results.

What is collected automatically

One thing only: standard server logs, which our hosting provider records whenever any page is requested. Every website has these and they cannot be switched off — they are how a server knows what to send you.

  • Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, and the time. Kept by the host, used to keep the site working and to spot abuse.

There is no analytics package on this site. We do not currently measure how long you stay, where you came from, or which pages you read next, because nothing here is watching.

Cookies

This site sets none. Not one — no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no preference cookie. There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to, and no "manage preferences" screen because there are no preferences to manage.

We expect that to change if the site carries advertising. When it does, this page will be updated before the first cookie is set. The table below describes the categories that would apply then — none of them are in use today.

Type What it does Can you refuse it?
Essential Would remember your cookie choices, once there were any to remember In use today? No
Analytics Would count page views so we know what to write next In use today? No
Advertising and affiliate Would be set by third parties to measure adverts and attribute purchases In use today? No

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can verify the claim above the same way: open your browser's storage panel on any page of this site and you will find it empty. Whatever we add later, blocking it will never restrict any content here — every article stays fully readable.

Advertising partners

There is no advertising on this site today. No network is serving anything here, and no advertising cookie is being set.

We expect to carry advertising later. If we do, it will be served by third-party networks, including Google and its partners, and those networks may use cookies to serve adverts based on your prior visits to this and other websites. That is their mechanism, not ours, which is exactly why we would tell you before it started.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google through Google Ads Settings, and from many other networks through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.

A note about a sensitive subject

This site covers health topics men often prefer to keep private, so it is worth being exact. As things stand, reading this site leaves no trace with us and none with anyone else: no cookie, no analytics, no ad network, no profile. Server logs at the host are the whole of it. If we ever add advertising, those cookies would be set by third parties rather than by us — which is precisely why we would say so here before it happened, and why no article will ever be gated behind accepting them.

Affiliate links

There are currently no affiliate links on this site, so none of this is happening today. We are leaving the section in place because it describes what would happen if that changes, and our disclosure would be updated first.

If we add affiliate links, clicking one may allow the seller to set a cookie so that a later purchase is attributed to us. We would receive a commission report from the seller — we would not receive your name, address or payment details, and we would never see what you bought at an individual level.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, for any purpose.
  • We do not build health profiles of readers or infer conditions from browsing.
  • We do not send unsolicited email.
  • We do not ask for health information and do not want to receive it.

How long we keep things

  • Email correspondence — kept while a conversation is ongoing and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Server logs — retained short-term by our host for security and troubleshooting. This is the only automatic collection that happens today.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies. Readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR; readers in California have comparable rights under the CCPA.

To exercise any of them, write to contact@malehealthguide.com. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is an email you sent us, and we will delete it on request.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

We link to external sources such as the NIH, Cochrane, Mayo Clinic and the FDA. Today those are the only outbound links on the site — there are none to product sellers. Once you follow any link you are on someone else's site, subject to their privacy policy and not ours, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data — for example by adding an advertising network or a newsletter — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted rather than made quietly.
